Alano Club of Menomonie. Ltd.
Your Meeting Place for Recovery and Fun
Together we've met our goal and raised the $30,000 needed to purchase the building at 105 N 21st St., Menomonie, WI.
The monies in our capital/building fund have come from
* member donations
* anonymous donations
* memorials - donations in memory of friends and relatives who have died
* honorariums - donations in honor of friends and relatives
* fund-raising projects like our summer picnic, summer car wash, bake sales, etc.
We continue to need your support to maintain the building in tip-top shape.
Every little bit helps.

In March of 2010, a small group of AA people started thinking of opening an Alano Club in Menomonie, Wisconsin. We incorporated and rented a small space, about 150 sq. ft. Funds from a previous attempt along with donations from O.K. H, Bill M., Michelle M., Muriel B., and Christine M. helped with expenses as the early months went by. We soon outgrew that space and rented another. That, too, became too small as people discovered the Club and requested more and more recovery-oriented meetings. We began a Building Fund campaign and sought donations. So many people were so generous!
Thanks to the hard work of our volunteers and the generosity of our donors, we now have our own building. On July 23, 2014, we opened our doors at 105 21st St. N., Menomonie, for Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Crystal Meth Anonymous (CMA), and Gamblers Anonymous (GA) meetings, and we've added meetings for Health Relationships and (coming soon) Adult Children of Alcoholics.
Board members for 2016 are: President- Kate Henderson, Vice President- Jim Schwarzohoff, Secretary- Dan Paulson, Treasurer- Mary Jane Raines, Director- Paul Helgeson, Director- Kari Dahl and Director- Donna Nygaard.
Want to Help?
The Club can always use monetary donations.
Here is a list of other items we can use:
- Garbage Can Liners (13 gal.)
We can also use your time and talents:
- Power Washing/Staining the Decking
- Writing Articles to Publicize our Activities
- Serving on the Board or Heading Up a Fund-Raiser
- Planning and Coordinating Parties
- Remodeling & Furnishing our Lower Level Rec-Room
(C) 2013-2016 Alano Club of Menomonie, Ltd.
A volunteer is needed to haul garbage and recyclables to the recycling center bi-monthly, please contact Kate Henderson if you can help out. A recycling center pass is provided.
A special thanks to the Rotory Club of Menomonie. Their grant of $1,250.00 will replace our front door which is falling apart.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
